Abstract:

To provide a pressure measuring method and a pressure measuring instrument, compatible with various anvil cells and suited for simply and highly accurately on-the-spot measuring a pressure of 1GPa or more in an ultra-high pressure zone in a pressure environment, and to provide an ultra-high pressure generator using the measuring instrument.

This pressure measuring method and this measuring instrument are characterized in that a nuclear quadruple resonance method specific to a substance is utilized to apply a pressure to a specimen comprising copper oxide and an object under measurement, thereby causing a nuclear quadruple resonance signal to be generated, and that a change in the signal caused by the pressure is detected to measure the applied pressure and/or pressure distribution. It is also possible to miniaturize this pressure measuring instrument and this ultra-high pressure generator.
