Abstract:
To provide a pressure regulating valve particularly useful for a diesel engine having a closed crank case.
The valve includes a body 10 coupled to a bonnet 62 having an internal movable piston 20. The movable piston 20 controls the flow of fluid in response to a pressure change to keep substantially constant pressure in the crank case. The piston 20 also includes an integrated relief valve 44 for preventing overpressure in the crank case which exceeds the predetermined limit of the pressure regulating valve.
