Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress the leakage of heat in a case housing sodium-sulfur batteries at the ordinary time and to rapidly release the pressure in the case even when the pressure increases by a simple construction at the abnormal time.
CONSTITUTION: A discharge pipe 8 for discharging hot wind from the inside of the case 1 housing integrated batteries 6 consisting of the sodium-sulfur batteries is provided on the side wall of the above-mentioned case and a stop valve 9 which closes the passage of the above-mentioned discharge pipe 8 at all times and opens the passage on increasing of the pressure in the case is provided in the passage of the discharge pipe.
