Title:
PRESSURE RESPONSE TYPE ELECTRIC SWITCH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08273506
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparatively less expensive, sturdy and reliable pressure response-type switch having an improved life that can be incorporated in a working fluid system and can be used under conditions of relatively high temperatures and high levels of vibration. SOLUTION: An opening 22 extends from a first end 18 to a recessed part 24, around which recessed part a side wall 28 extends excluding a shelf-like part 26 so as to form a cavity 32; inside the cavity 32, a supporting plate 34 and a perforated member 40 are placed interposing a flexible thin film 36 in between the supporting plate 34 and the shelf-like part 26. In a hole 56 of the supporting plate 34, a piston 58 is installed with its first diameter part 60 contacted to the thin film 36 and with its second diameter part 62 supported by a snap acting disc 50. The second diameter part 62 has a diameter equal to or greater than that of the first diameter part 60. At the lower side of the disc, a terminal stud 44 having a fixed electric contact 52 on its upper end is located a certain distance away from the disc so that the disc can engage or disengage with the fixed electric contact 52 by means of its snap action. The terminal stud 44 is secured on the perforated member 40 via an electrical insulating member.
