Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for an optical film, from which such a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer can be formed that has sufficient durability to prevent foaming, peeling or humidification-induced cloudiness when applied to glass and a transparent conductive layer, that can suppress light leakage-induced display unevenness, and that has excellent anticorrosive property on metal.SOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for an optical film comprises: a (meth)acrylic polymer (A) described below; and a crosslinking agent (B) of 0.01 to 3 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the (meth)acrylic polymer (A). The (meth)acrylic polymer (A) comprises, as monomer units, 70 wt.% or more of an alkyl (meth)acrylate (a1), 3 to 25 wt.% of an aromatic ring-containing (meth)acrylate (a2), 0.1 to 8 wt.% of an amide group-containing monomer (a3), 0.01 to 2 wt.% of a carboxyl group-containing monomer (a4), and 0.01 to 3 wt.% of a hydroxyl group-containing monomer (a5), and has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 1000000 to 2500000 and a ratio of Mw/number average molecular weight (Mn) of 1.8 or more and 10 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
