Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape with which the surface defects of an article coated with a coating material containing a flaky pigment can be easily repaired by using an aluminum foil of a specified thickness as the support, coating its surface with a coating material containing a flaky pigment, and coating its back with a pressure-sensitive adhesive.

CONSTITUTION: This tape is prepared by using an aluminum foil of a thickness of 20-150μm as the support, coating its surface with a coating material containing a flaky pigment, and coating its back with a pressure-sensitive adhesive. Examples of the flaky pigments used include aluminum flakes, an aluminum paste, a pearlescent pigment, a graphite pigment, and a flaky stainless steel powder and/or a flaky copper powder.
