Title:
PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE TAPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0711200
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a foamed pressure-sensitive adhesive tape which can be easily and manually cut at right angles by sticking a uniaxially oriented PP film to a flexible foam sheet in such a way that the direction of orientation of the film is at right angles to the direction of the length of the sheet and forming a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the film.

CONSTITUTION: This adhesive tape is prepared by sticking a 20-100μm-thick uniaxially oriented polyporpylene film to a flexible foam sheet in such a way that the direction of orientation of the film is at right angles to the direction of length of the sheet and forming a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the film. As the foam sheet, a foam of polyurethane or polyethylene is usually used, and the thickness and the expansion ratio are determined according to the object of use. The reason why the polypropylene film is specified is that this film has the property of being easily made directional by uniaxial orientation. The thickness of the film is 20-100μm. When it is 20μm or below, the film elongates when manually cut, and when it is 100μm or above, the film is hard to cut manually.
