Title:
PRESSURE-SENSITIVE CONDUCTIVE ELASTOMER AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6419608
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a pressure-sensitive conductive elastomer showing high conductivity and stabilized quality by applying magnetization process after the application of magnetic field on fine powder of metals having a particle diameter of 1μm, i.e. nickel, Fe, cobalt and the like, or on an alloy made of these metals, and thereafter by dispersing them or it in an elastomer.

CONSTITUTION: It is considered that magnetic conductive metal fine powder having a particle diameter of 1μm or less than reacts to each other in an elastomer when it is magnetized beforehand to produce clearances among them, improving the dispersion condition thereof, and it does not show conductivity without application of compression thereto, because proper amount of fine powder is dispersed, while it shows conductivity with compression. Hence, this magnetic conductive fine powder can be dispersed in the elastomer evenly without any need of special dispersion technique, and also a pressure sensitive conductive elastomer having easily stabilized performance can be obtained.
