Title:
PRESSURE SENSOR FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE HAVING INTAKE TUBE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3764519
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the risk that the gaseous moisture in the air sucked into an intake tube is frozen at the time of low temperature by a structure wherein the joint of pressure sensor reaches substantially the center of intake tube or extends over the center of intake tube.
SOLUTION: The tubular joint 7 of a pressure sensor 1 extends from the inner wall 19 of an intake tube 5 and intrudes into a fluid medium. Consequently, the open end 18 of joint 7 substantially reaches the longitudinal axis 31 of intake tube 5 or extends over the center of intake tube 5. The relatively long joint 7 protects the joint 7, especially the inner face 34 of a through hole 17 and a sensor tube piece 4 at the joint 7, against freezing at the time of low temperature. Consequently, connection with the normal open through hole 17 or the sensor cell 3 of intake tube 5 can be ensured.
