Title:
PRESSURE SWING GAS ADSORPTING SEPARATION APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01180216
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the power consumption by providing expander turbines respectively in the presence equalizing line between adsorption towers and in an absorption line from the outside of the system and connecting the revolving shafts of the turbines respectively with the driving shafts of a vacuum pump and a pressurizing blower.

CONSTITUTION: A 1st tower is pressurized by the air sent from a 2nd tower through pressure equalizing valves 2-2, 2-1 and a pressure equalizing line 18, and, at the same time, a pressure equalizing expander turbine 9 is revolved to make the power source for a vacuum pump 7. Then, the 1st tower is pressurized through a suction line 12 by taking the air from the outside of the system, and, at the same time, a suction expander turbine 8 is revolved to make the power source for a blower 6. After that, the 1st tower is pressurized by the blower 6 to adsorb N2, and to separate O2, and is equalized in pressure with the 2nd tower, and then evacuated by the vacuum pump 7 to discharge N2. These processes are respectively carried out between the 1stW4th towers in order.
