To provide a pressure testing method for a pipeline, which can reduce the amount of residual air more than conventional methods when injecting incompressive fluid into the pipeline in a pressure test of the pipeline using the incompressive fluid such as water or the like.
In the pressure testing method for the pipeline, wherein the incompressive fluid is injected into the pipeline by using a pig traveling from the upstream side to the downstream side in the pipeline, a pressure value on the downstream side of the pig in the pipeline is measured in order to specify a position of the pig in the pipeline, and the pressure on the downstream side is adjusted in accordance with the position, thereby controlling the travel speed of the pig. Alternatively, pressure values on the upstream and downstream sides of the pig are measured in order to specify the position of the pig in the pipeline, and pressures on the upstream and downstream sides are adjusted in accordance with the position, thereby controlling the travel speed of the pig.
