Title:
PRESSURE TRANSMITTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3314349
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce permeation of hydrogen through a diaphragm by providing an intermediate layer composed of any one or a plurality of aluminum, copper, platinum and gold in the diaphragm while spreading substantially in parallel with the surface thereof.
SOLUTION: An intermediate layer composed of any one or a plurality of aluminum, copper, platinum and gold is sandwiched, from the opposite sides, by a main material composing a diaphragm. The quantity of hydrogen permeating from a pressure receiving chamber through the diaphragm into an isolation chamber (hydrogen permeation) is decreased significantly as compared with the quantity of liquid encapsulated in the isolation chamber even within the life period thereof (e.g. 15 years), and thereby the hydrogen permeation has no effect on the accuracy of measurement. When a same material having substantially identical thickness is employed as the main compositional material of diaphragm on the opposite sides thereof, uneven deformation due to temperature variation can be prevented resulting in a highly accurate measurement.
