Title:
METAL HALIDE LAMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3216823
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the visible state of color, particularly the complexion of a Japanese to be reproduced in natural color state, regardless of actual color near bulb color, by using a light emitting tube containing mercury, rare gas or the like as sealed, and selecting the chromaticity point of luminescent color within the predetermined chromaticity range.
CONSTITUTION: A light emitting tube internally fitted with a pair of electrodes, and containing mercury, rare gas and metal halide as sealed is used for this metal halide lamp. In addition, the chromaticity point of luminescent color is selected within a chromaticity range A enclosed with four points (a), (b), (c) and (d) represented by (0.4135, 0.3765), (0.4372, 0.3810), (0.4457, 0.3970) and (0.4190, 0.3890) on X-Y chromaticity ordinates. Also, relative chromaticity temperature is selected within the range of 2800K to 3200K. As a result, natural body color and the flesh color of a Japanese, though near bulb color, can be reproduced in beautiful state.
