To provide a pressure vessel equipped with projections, in which high strength performance can be achieve in the peripheral area of the individual projections.

The pressure vessel comprises a metal-made inner shell member 1 having the projections 3, 4, 5 provided on the outer surface and a sheath member 2 made of a fiber reinforced layer and covering the outer surface of the inner shell member 1, wherein the wall thickness of the peripheral areas of the projections 3, 4, 5 of the inner shell member 1 is greater than that of the other areas. Even if the strength performance of the fiber reinforced layer in the peripheral areas of the projections 3, 4, 5 becomes low for the reason of difficulty in construction work etc., lowering of the strength performance is compensated by enhancement of the strength performance obtained by increase in wall thickness, and as the result, a high strength performance of the peripheral areas of the projections 3, 4, 5 can be obtained stably while increase in weight is suppressed to the minimum.
