PURPOSE: To automatically maintain an always recurring ignition and combus tion process and to do not need a supply of energy and control from outside by recovering hot gas from cell in which a combustion process is completed, and constituting combustion means with a channel returning to the cells having mixture gas.
CONSTITUTION: A cellular wheel 10 and a combustion means 18 are provided for a pressure wave machine with integrated combustion mechanism. The cellular wheel 10 contains a number of cells 16 that rotate between air side and gas side elements 13, 14 respectively having inlet opening 11 and outlet opening 12. The combustion means 18 automatically ignites the fuel/gas mixture and combusts it. In this case, the combustion means 18 recovers hot gas from cell 16, in which the combustion process belonging to a cycle is completed, and is formed by a channel 18 returning to the cell 16 containing the fuel/gas mixture to be ignited. In order to add fuel to the hot gas, a fuel supply pipe 21 is connected to the channel 18. By this manner, the always recurring ignition and combustion process can automatically be maintained.
