Abstract:
To provide a pretensioner capable of preventing an inner pressure in a gas chamber from increasing relative to increase of the inner pressure in normal time.SOLUTION: A pretensioner 1 comprises: a wire 2 whose one end is connected to an attracted member; a piston 3 connected to the other end of the wire; a cylinder 4 for slidably storing the piston 3; a gas generator 5 for supplying a gas for actuating a piston 3 in a direction for attracting the wire 2, into a gas chamber C in the cylinder 4; a movable part 40 which is arranged facing the gas chamber C, and is coupled to the piston 3; and a protrusion 38 which is provided on an outer peripheral face of the piston 3, and regulates movement of the movable part 40 in a direction increasing volume of the gas chamber C. The protrusion 38 releases regulation of the movable part 40 when an inner pressure of the gas chamber C exceeds a prescribed value which is greater than a pressure at which the piston 3 is movable, in normal time, therefore the movable part 40 becomes movable in a direction increasing the volume of the gas chamber C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
