PURPOSE: To improve performances of delivery of reaped grain culm from a longitudinal conveyor to a feed chain and to higher safety by avoiding damage of a plant root discharging lever or the feed chain while smoothly delivering the reaped grain culm from the longitudinal conveyor to the feed chain even in any rocking attitude of the longitudinal conveyor.
CONSTITUTION: In a pretreating part structure of a combine in which a raising device 5 and a reaping device of a pretreating device 3 are constituted adjustably in the lateral movement and a longitudinal conveyor 9 follows the adjustment of lateral movement and rocks right and left around a rear longitudinal support P2 as a center with the adjustment of the lateral movement, a transmission case part 23 holding the longitudinal conveyor 9 rockingly right and left around the longitudinal support P2 as a center is vertically rotatably installed around the lateral support as a center. The transmission case 23 is stationarily equipped with a plant root discharging lever 30 which throws up plant roots of reaped grain culm transported by the longitudinal conveyor 9 to the outside of a machine body and delivers it to the top of the starting end of a feed chain 2A.
