Abstract:
To provide a method of maintaining a concentration of nickel oxide ore slurry at a high concentration while efficiently performing a necessary heat treatment in its pretreatment step, about the nickel oxide ore slurry supplied to a leaching step, in a wet smelting method of nickel oxide ore.SOLUTION: A pretreatment method of nickel oxide slurry comprises: a concentration step S2 in which the nickel oxide ore slurry is concentrated by solid-liquid separation treatment; and a heating step S3 in which the nickel oxide ore slurry concentrated in the concentration step S2 is heated, wherein in the heating step S3, both of a non-contact heating step S31 for heating a heat medium and the nickel oxide ore sully without directly contacting, and a heating step S32 for heating with the heat medium and the nickel oxide ore slurry contacted directly are sequentially performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
