PURPOSE: To supply power only for adhered ice and snow and to reduce power consumption, by detecting adhered ice/snow to a radome covering an antenna opening with an output of a driving amplifier of an AGC circuit in a receiver and controlling the power application to an electric heating source of the randome through this detected output.
CONSTITUTION: A radome 2 installed with an electric heating wire is located at an opening side of an antenna 1, a signal received at this antenna 1 is mixed with a signal from a local oscillator 4 and converted into an IF signal. After this converted IF signal is amplified at an IF amplifier 5, it is outputted from an output terminal 6, a part is applied to an AGC circuit driving amplifier 7, the gain of the amplifier 5 is controlled with the output of the amplifier 7 to keep the level of the IF signal from a terminal 6 constant. The output of the amplifier 7 is applied to a controller 9 with the output of a comparison voltage generator 8. The lowering of output of the amplifier 7 is detected at the controller 9 through adhered ice/snow of the radome 2, and the supply of power to the radome 2 from a power input terminal 10 can be controlled with the detected output.
