Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a preventing or treating agent for angina pectoris, having excellent and continuous collateral vasodilation action and hardly causing adverse reaction by including thiazolidines having a substituent group specific to nitrogen atom on a ring as active ingredients. SOLUTION: This preventing agent or treating agent for angina pectoris comprises thiazolidines of the formula [X is methylene, O or S; R<1> is a 2-8C alkanoyl having a substituent group which consists essentially of a group of the formula, S-R<2> (R<2> is H or a 1-6C aliphatic acyl); A is a 1-8C alkylene or the like] [e.g. 1-(3-mercato-2-methylpropionyl)-L-proline-N-(1-methyl-2- nitroxyethyl)amide] as an active ingredient. The agent is administered at a daily dose of 1 mg/adult as lower limit and 1,000 mg/adult as upper limit in the case of oral administration and 0.1 mg/adult as lower limit and 1,000/adult mg as upper limit in the case of intravenous injection once to 6 times according to the symptom.
