Abstract:

To provide a corrosion/corrosion prevention analyzing method capable of efficiently determining potential distribution or current density distribution even when the potential distribution or current density of an axisymmetric object such as a pipe-shaped object cannot be handled axisymmetrically.

In this analyzing method, if the peripheral potential or current density distribution on the surface of an axisymmetrical object 12 having a cylindrical shape, for example, is not constant in the field where the potential in a region is governed by the Laplas equation, the potential and current density distribution in the peripheral (θ) direction on the surface of the object 12 are expressed by the complex Fourier series in the peripheral direction, then the object 12 can be expressed by an axisymmetrical element, and the potential and current density distribution (i) of the whole region boundary are analyzed by the boundary element method.
