Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for preventing a collision in a manufacturing environment by a robot.SOLUTION: A robot 150 includes an imaging system 134 installed on an end effector 132; and a controller 152 which specifies a position and orientation of a mirror. The controller can instruct actuators 112, 114, and 116 to orient the imaging system toward the mirror, can obtain a point group of a three-dimentional position by operating the imaging system to scan an image in the mirror, and can correct the three-dimentional position of the point group by folding back the three-dimentional position on a surface regulated by the mirror. The robot decides a space occupied by the robot in a manufacturing cell on the basis of the corrected position, and can instruct the robot to operate in order to prevent a collision in the manufacturing cell, on the basis of the space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
