PURPOSE: To prevent the oxidation of liquid hydrocarbon and an oxygen added solvent used in the petroleum industry by compounding a specific sterically hindered amine stabilizer with a liquid org. substrate easy to oxidize and thermally deteriorate.
CONSTITUTION: A sterically hindered amine compd. (B) having a portion represented by formula [wherein G1 and G2 are each 1-4C alkyl or combined to form pentamethylene; Q is H, oxyl, hydroxyl, 1-18C alkyl, 3-18C alkenyl, 1-18C alanoyl, 3-18C alkenoyl, 1-18C alkyl, 3-18C alkenyl, 1-18C alkanoyl, 3-18C alkenoyl, 7-9C phenylalkyl, 2-18C alkanoyoxy, 1-18C alkoxy, 5-12C cycloalkoxy, 2-18C alkenyloxy, 5-12C cycloalkenyloxy, 7-15C phenylalkoxy, 5-12C cycloalkenyloxy, 7-15C phenylalkoxy, 5-12C cycloalkenyloxy, 7-15C phenylalkoxy, 6-10C aryloxy or formula R1NHCOO- (R1 is H, 1-12C alkyl or phenyl)] is mixed with a liquid org. substrate (A) such as sulforane or tetraethylene glycol easily receiving oxidative or thermal deterioration at temp. lower than 200°C.
