Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent pitch troubles more efficiently in a process for producing mechanical pulp and in a process for making paper using the mechanical pulp.
CONSTITUTION: This method for preventing troubles of pitches by the use of a heat-resistant lipase comprises a process for adding a fatty acid glyceride- hydrolyzing enzyme durable to a higher temperature than 70°C to a paper-making raw material and/or a white water which are exposed to a higher temperature than 70°C, followed by subjecting the raw material and/or the white water to paper-making processes.
