PURPOSE: To prevent pottery and/or glass surface stain such as that of water closet, by adding to water when using it each specific amount of a cationic surfactant and a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether-type nonionic surfactant to maintain the prevention of silicic acid-based scale from adhering to the surface.
CONSTITUTION: In water when using it, (A) 0.05W20ppm of a cationic surfactant and (B) 1W50ppm of a polyoxyethylene alkyl (phenol) ether-tye nonionic surfactant are incorporated to prevent pottery and/or glass surface stain caused by the silicic acid present in the water. For the component (A), a one-three 12W22C alkyl-contg. quaternary ammonium salt-type cationic surfactant of formulaI(R1 is 12W22C alkyl; X is a halogen such as chlorine, bromine, methyl surfate, ethyl surfate) is preferably used; and for the component (B), a surfactant of formula II (R is an alkylphenyl having 8W18C alkyl or 6W12C alkyl, n=6W15) is recommended.
