PURPOSE: To secure the excellent slip-off preventing performance and prevent the generation of leak by generating an airtight state by closely attaching the joint surfaces of an electrofusion coupling and a joint metal fitting, by installing a caulking ring at the receptacle of the coupling for fitting the joint metal fitting.
CONSTITUTION: An electrofusion coupling 1 used for the connection between a resin product 1 and a metal product in the piping system for the water supply and drainage or gas is formed by embedding an electric lead wire 6 on the periphery of a receptacle 5 at one end of the coupling 1 for the insertion of the resin product 4. Further, a building-out part 7 is formed on the outer surface of the coupling 1 on the outer periphery of the receptacle 5, and a pair of pin holes 8 for the connection of an electric power connector are formed at the bulging-out part 7. In this case, a caulking ring 20 for receiving a joint metal fitting as metal ring is fitted on the outer periphery of a receptacle 12. The small diameter sleeve 3b at one end of a joint metal fitting 3 is caulking- fixed in an airtight form at the receptacle 12 by uniformly tightening the caulking ring 20 inwardly from the outer periphery in a nearly 90° interval.
