Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent an automobile from creeping while it is stopped placing its shift lever in the range of a position D, by utilizing the intake negative pressure from a negative pressure-generating part in the automobile. CONSTITUTION:The intake negative pressure of an engine from its intake pipe 2 is stored in an accumulator 3 through a check valve 4. If the driver releases his foot from an accelerator pedal 30 while a car is driven running, an accelerator switch 29 is electrified. If the driver subsequently decelerates the car by applying a brake or the like decreasing a car speed to 0, the switch of a car speed sensor 37 is also turned on to operate a relay 38 and actuate negative pressure selector valves 7, 8, and the car is prevented from creeping by guiding the negative pressure in the accumulator 3 to an actuator 10 and pulling a side brake wire 39 so as to actuate a rear wheel brake and hold the car in its stopped condition.
