PURPOSE: To obtain a preventive and remedy for ischemic diseases, by supporting SOD to a liposome having electrically neutral or negative membrane and using the SOD-containing liposome as an active component.
CONSTITUTION: A superoxide dismutase (SOD), preferably human-originated Cu-Zn SOD or human-originated Mn SOD is supported on a liposome having electrically neutral membrane prepared from neutral glycerophospholipids, natural lecithins, etc., such as phosphatidylcholine or phosphatidylethanolamine or having electrically negative membrane prepared from negative phospholipids such as phosphatidylserine or phosphatidic acid. The obtained SOD-containing liposome is used as an active component of the objective agent. The particle diameter of the liposome is preferably ≤10×m, especially ≤1μm and the does is 25W2,500mg daily for adult in terms of SOD.
