Title:
PRIMARY RADIATION HORN ANTENNA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2795040
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To allow the antenna to receive a linearly polarized wave orthogonal to a reflecting plate in the same direction as a coupling probe and not to receive an undesired linearly polarized wave in the same direction as a range of a sector angle.
CONSTITUTION: A sectorial radiation plate 3A spread by an angle in both directions orthogonal to a radiation axis of a horn and a coupling probe 2 when viewing from a front side of the horn is provided in the inside of the horn antenna main body 1. A polarized wave V to be received in the same direction as the coupling probe 2 and orthogonal to the reflecting plate 3A passes through the reflecting plate 3A and received by the coupling probe 2. However, since a polarized wave H unnecessary for reception orthogonal to the coupling probe 2 and in the facial direction as the reflecting plate 3A and a polarized wave P unnecessary for reception in a direction with an angle rotated a little as a radiation axis from the angle orthogonal to the coupling probe 2, that is, the wave in a direction of a range of a sector angle by taking the radiation axis of the sectorial reflecting plate as a rotation axis, are reflected by the reflecting plate 3A, much of polarized waves unnecessary for reception is suppressed.
