PURPOSE: To obtain the subject primer capable of forming a coating film in a short time and raising bond strength between a coating film and a substrate irrespective of the kind of a waterproofing material of coating film, comprising a chlorinated polyolefin and a chlorinated paraffin having a specific chlorine content.
CONSTITUTION: The objective primer comprises (A) a chlorinated polyolefin (e.g. chlorinated polyethylene) and (B) a chlorinated paraffin having 60-75wt.% chlorine content in a ratio of preferably 70-90wt.% component A based on the total amounts of the components A and B. The chlorine content of the component A is preferably 60-70wt.%. The primer is usually dissolved in a solvent and used and toluene is preferable as the solvent in terms of rapid drying of the primer.
