PURPOSE: To prepare the title primer having excellent drying properties and enabling the formation of a film with an excellent adhesion to a floor slab by mixing a polymer emulsion with a lower alcohol.

CONSTITUTION: The title primer is prepd. by mixing: 100 pts.wt. polymer emulsion (e.g. an ethylene-vinyl acetate emulsion, a butadiene-styrene emulsion, an acrylic ester emulsion, or a vinyl acetate emulsion); with a lower alcohol (e.g. methyl, ethyl, or propyl alcohol; ethyl alcohol being esp. pref.) in an amt. of pref. 2-30 pts.wt.
