Abstract:
To further shorten air discharge time, compared with a self-prime pump having a conventional structure by increasing the inlet angle of an impeller and further enhancing the self-priming performance.
A volute-shaped water storage space (suction volute) 40 continuously extended from an inlet port 10a and gradually reduced in sectional area along the rotating direction of the pump is provided between the inlet port 10a and a discharge volute 22 containing the impeller 16. An air-liquid separation chamber 24 on the back flow side of the space (suction volute) 40 is allowed to communicate with the water storage space (suction volute) 40 through a return passage 26.
