PURPOSE: To provide the print antenna for microwave transmission/reception for which design property is improved and the tolerant polarizing characteristics of antenna elements are satisfactory even in the case of a wide band and a single element by providing a window formed at a ground conductor on one face of an insulator substrate, first strip conductor formed in the window, and second strip conductor formed on the other face of the insulator substrate.

CONSTITUTION: A strip antenna element 10 with window is coupled with a transmission line 14 by using another strip conductor (probe) 11. Thus, the strip antenna element 10 can be efficiently excited even in the state of separating a window 12 from the transmission line 14. On the other hand, since the electromagnetic field of the probe 11 is coupled with that of the transmission line 14 while providing a gap, the radiating characteristics of the strip antenna element 10 with window are coincident with the characteristics of an input impedance and even in the case of a single element, it is efficiently operated. Therefore, characteristic difference from the case of using plural elements can be reduced, at the same time, unnecessory radiation from the window 12 can be decreased, and the design property can be improved.
