To obtain a print cartridge in which an ink absorber is set removaly in a recorder body and a print head can be capped under removed state.

A lower case 2 is provided with a cap 8 for isolating ink perfectly from the outer air, and a cap 9 for receiving discharged ink such that the caps can face the ink ejection face 5a of a print head 5 in an upper case 1. When both cases 1, 2 are closed, the ink ejection face 5a is covered with the cap 8 and shut out from the outer air and thereby the ink in the print head 5 is not solidified. When both cases 1, 2 are opened halfway, the ink ejection face 5a is covered with the cap 9 and communicates with an ink absorber 10 through an interconnecting opening 9a. Waste ink discharged forcibly from the print head 5 by a recovery means is absorbed into the ink absorber 10 through the interconnecting opening 9a. When both cases 1, 2 are opened fully, front side of the ink ejection face 5a is opened and ink ejected therefrom flies outward.
