PURPOSE: To enable ink to be smoothly and uniformly adhered to a printed matter, by carrying out print-coating with setting of the peripheral speed differences between can cylinders to be print-coated and print blankets or coating rolls etc.
CONSTITUTION: Print-coating is conducted by providing the peripheral speed differences between 2-piece can cylinders 10 supported by base materials 11 to be printed and print-coating rollers 12 driven in contact with the outer surfaces thereof. After a printing roller 12a is brought into contact with the transport alignment of the 2-piece can cylinders 10, a finishing varnish coating roller 12b applies the finish coat by varnish over the printing surface. As a result, constant slippage given to the printing ink allows pin holes and irregular adhesion of ink to be made flat to obtain a smooth adherent condition.
