The print control apparatus 1 receives a print job and then performs division scheduling based on the printing performance of a plurality of printers on a network, such as printing speeds, the printing state of each printer, and the requested time to complete printing that is requested by the print job received, the division scheduling determining the number of divisions and the printers to print the print job such that the expected time to complete printing of the print job is closest to the requested time to complete printing that is requested by the print job. The plurality of printers to print the print job print the divided print job in parallel. Thus, the number of divisions and the printers to print the print job are determined optimally for the printing performance and the printing state, i.e., the actual states of the printers to be used for parallel printing, and the requested target time to complete printing. The printing can be completed at the target time.
