Abstract:
To provide a print roll cleaning apparatus that can minimize the processing of waste liquid, can simplify and miniaturize the apparatus, can save a space and reduce cost, and further can remove stain efficiently reliably.SOLUTION: A print roll cleaning apparatus includes: first support means 11 for rotatably supporting a print roll 10; first drive means 12 for rotating the print roll 10; imaging means 3 for imaging the surface 10a of the print roll 10; cleaning means 2 for cleaning a partial length region of the print roll 10 over the whole circumference; second support means 21 for supporting the cleaning means 2 in a movable manner along the axial direction of the print roll 10; second drive means 22 for moving the cleaning means 2 along the axial direction of the print roll 10; detection means 63 for detecting the stain on the surface of the print roll, based on the pick-up image imaged with the imaging means 3; and position control means 64 for operating the second drive means 22, based on detection results of the detection means 63, and controlling the axial position of the cleaning means 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
