The print system 10 comprises a printer 1 and a host computer 2. The host computer 2 comprises a print data formation part 3 forming print data including a designation command string of print scanning direction and a predetermined shot pattern according to the scanning direction, and a print data transmission part 4 transmitting the print data to the printer 1. The printer 1 comprises a print data receiving part 5 receiving print data, a print data analysis part 6 analyzing the received print data to extract the shot pattern and the designation command string of print scanning direction, and a print control part 7 converting the shot pattern to a drive pulse, outputting the drive pulse to a printer head part 8, and outputting an instruction for driving a carriage motor to the print scanning direction designated by the designation command string of print scanning direction to a carriage motor part.
