The print system include a host device 1 and a printer 2 connected to each other through a network 3, the printer 2 having a plurality of paper feed trays, wherein the plurality of paper feed trays are grouped into a plurality of groups and the host device 1 subsequently transmits print information 11 to the printer 2. When a designated group is set in the printer 2, paper is fed from the set paper feed trays to perform printing, and when the designated group is not set in the printer 2, an automatic paper feed tray is selected to perform printing.
