The print system comprises a printer, a host computer, a printer driver operating on the host computer, and a job management application program wherein the job management application program comprises a means for receiving a print cancel from a user at an arbitrary timing, a means for canceling print at an arbitrary timing, a means for informing print job cancel to the printer driver, a means for stopping data transmission, a means for making the printer to discharge a sheet, and a means for bringing the printer back to idle state by transmitting a control code indicative of the end of a print job, and the printer driver comprises a means for ending the print job after the control code indicative of the end of a print job is transmitted.
