Title:
PRINT TAPE CONTAINING CASSETTE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3898359
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print tape containing cassette which permits a tape printer to print on a magnetic tape.
SOLUTION: When a cassette 22 is loaded to a cassette loading section of a printer (not shown), the thermal head of a printer body is inserted into a recess 25 and disposed oppositely to a platen roller 37. A print tape 12 fed out from a reel 21 is stretched while being superposed on an ink ribbon 24 and then carried while being held between the thermal head and a platen in order to perform printing on a print face (lower surface). A magnetic material layer is laminated on the rear surface of the print tape 12 (opposite side to the print face) while directing the line of magnetization in the longitudinal direction of the tape. Since the pole is fixed at any position between respective winding layers of the print tape 12 wound around the reel 21, fluctuation in the back tension due to mismatch of the pole can be prevented when the print tape 12 is drawn out to a print section. Consequently, the print tape 12 is carried stably and positional shift thereof is eliminated resulting in a good printing.
