In the printed information distribution system, a client computer 4 sends the control information of a printer 4 to a PDC 2. The PDC 2, calculates the expense required for a client to complete the printing of contents information on printer 5 based on the control information and calculates a benefit amount to be given to the client in accordance with the expense when the client has obtained the contents information and informs the benefit amount to the client computer 4. The PDC 2 then sends the printed data to the client computer 4 when the client requests to send the content information. If the client computer 4 informs the completion of printing to the PDC 2, the PDC 2 recognizes that the client has obtained the content information.
