PURPOSE: To obtain an edible printed matter of laver in which various kind of characters, pattern, etc., are printed on the surface of laver by applying a solid-like composition containing Ca-containing powder, starch and egg- solidified material at a specific ratio onto the surface of laver.

CONSTITUTION: An applying composition obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. calcium-containing powder (e.g. shell of egg, calcium carbonate, etc., preferably having 400mesh pass size) with 2-20 pts.wt. starch (preferably dextrin obtained by hydrolyzing starch in the degree of 3-5 DE and having 10-35μm size) and 40-100 pts.wt. egg white is printed on the surface of laver and then the above- mentioned composition-printed laver is heated and an egg white ingredient in the composition is solidified to provide the aimed printed matter in which a solid-like composition formed of 100 pts.wt. calcium-containing powder, 2-20 pts.wt. starch and 4-60 pts.wt. egg white-solidified article is applied onto the surface of laver.
