PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of requiring excessive attention for operation, since a user must change the set direction of a sheet in response to a binding position for acquiring printed matter of executing binding processing in a correct position in respective two binding processing.SOLUTION: When designating needle binding processing for binding by using a needle to a plurality of printed recording paper, the recording paper printed in input order of a plurality of inputted image data is discharged so that a printing surface becomes downward, and when designating needleless binding processing for binding without using the needle to the plurality of printed recording paper, whether or not the recording paper printed in the input order of the image data is discharged so that the printing surface becomes downward or whether or not the recording paper is discharged so that the printing surface of the recording paper printed becomes upward in inverse order of the input order of the image data, is controlled based on the direction of the plurality of inputted image data, a binding position by the needleless binding processing and the direction of the recording paper.
