PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for a separate motor, solenoid or the like for moving a head and contrive reductions in size and weight of a printer device, by utilizing the force of a paper-feeding motor for moving the head.
CONSTITUTION: A motor part 1 generates a driving force, whereas a head- moving part 2 moves a head 26 to a printing position and a non-printing position, and a paper-feeding part 3 feeds a printing paper S by the driving force generated by the motor part 1. A first driving fore transmitting part 4a transmits the driving force of the motor part 1 to the head-moving part 2, whereas a second driving force transmitting part 5 transmits the driving force to the paper-feeding part 3. A paper-feeding operation comprises first, second and third conditions, and the motor part 1 generates the driving force in the first to third conditions. The first transmitting part 4 causes the head-moving part 2 to move the head 26 to the non-printing position in the first condition, maintains the head 26 in the non-printing position in the second condition, and causes the head-moving part 2 to move the head 26 to the printing position in the third condition. The second transmitting part 5 transmits the driving force to the paper-feeding part 3 to perform paper feeding only in the second condition.
