A weighting (point) is set per printing condition for printing conditions which contribute to resource saving such as reduction in a toner consumed amount and the number of sheets for printing, and thereby realizes the environmental measure and cost reduction. For example, a predetermined point is set for double-sided printing or N-Up printing, or the like which will achieve resource saving. When printing conditions for document data to be printed are set and a printing instruction is performed by a user based on the printing conditions, a printer driver counts up the weighting of the set printing conditions, and if the counted result does not reach a reference point set in a reference point setting section 212, the printer driver does not generate a printing job. By this means, printing cannot be performed unless the printing conditions realize resource saving, and a substantial effect of the resource saving can be obtained.
