PURPOSE: To conduct positive printing at high speed by installing a connecting member magnifying the displacement of a piezoelectric element and transmitting the displacement over a wire holding member and forming a throttling section displaced in the thickness direction and extended in the longitudinal direction to the wire holding member.

CONSTITUTION: A tabular wire holding member 11 having a printing wire 5 at a nose thereof, a piezoelectric element 1 and connecting members 7, 8 being set up between the piezoelectric element 1 and the wire holding member 11 and magnifying the displacement of the piezoelectric element 1 and transmitting the displacement over the wire holding member 11 are provided, and a throttling section 12 displaced (a recess) in the thickness direction and extended in the longitudinal direction is formed to a beam 11 as the wire holding member. Consequently, since the throttling section 12 is formed to the beam 11, a printer head can have rigidity not curved when the printing wire 5 strikes a ribbon and paper even when the plate thickness of the beam 11 is thinned in order to reduce weight. Accordingly, rigidity is increased without augmenting the mass of the operating section of the printer head and printing force can be elevated, thus allowing positive printing at high speed.
