To reduce cost and a size of a printer without degrading quality of an image when performing the printing in overlapping.
This printer comprises the prescribed number of first nozzles each for ejecting ink in a first color, second nozzles having the number less than that of the first nozzles and being adapted to eject ink in a second color different from the first color, and a controller that prints on a medium a print image consisting of a plurality of dot rows such that the medium, the first nozzles and the second nozzles are relatively moved in a prescribed direction and the ink is ejected from the first and second nozzles to form on the medium the dot rows having the dots arranged in the prescribed direction. The controller forms each dot row of the first color by two or more different first nozzles and each dot row of the second color by the second nozzles with the number smaller than that of the first nozzles for forming each dot row of the first color when the dots are formed corresponding to all the pixels.
