Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique with which notification on stack-full of a printer to a suitable notification destination can be expected.SOLUTION: A printer 100 receives a print job and causes an image formation part 10 to execute printing on the basis of the received print job. The printer 100 associates transmission source information with the output number for each print job and stores them in a print list. The printer 100 reads the transmission source information of the print job from the print list when trays 21-24 become stack-full, and notifies a device being the transmission source of notification on the stack-full. The printer 100 includes height sensors 26-29 and detects the increase/decrease in the number of sheets stored in the trays 21-24. The printer 100 excludes from the print list the transmission source information of the print job in which the decrease number and the output number match when detecting the decrease in the number of sheets.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
