Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label preparation device capable of reducing the consumption amount of printing tape.SOLUTION: A label preparation device receives a preparation instruction for a first print label L1 including a first print object R1; stores in EEPROM the first print object R1 of the first print label L1 for which the preparation instruction is received; receives a preparation instruction for a second print label L2 including a second print object R2 which is made by modifying a part of the first print object R1 stored in the EEPROM; compares the first print object R1 stored in the EEPROM with the second print object R2 of the second print label L2 for which the preparation instruction is received; cuts out a part of the second print object R2, which is different from the first print object R1, as at least a partial print object R3; and prepares a partial print label L3 printing the cut-out partial print object R3, smaller in the lengthwise direction than the second print label L2, to be superposed and stuck on the first print label L1.
